Living Lent within Our Community
Lent is a time to build your connection to God through prayer and thoughtful choices, in preparation for celebrating Christ’s resurrection.  Here are some ideas for Lent that not only assist your personal spirituality but enable you to care for others and the earth at the same time. As Pope Francis often says, “everything is connected”, and through living this, our actions deepen our values.

World Day of PrayerFriday 7 March 2025
Prayer Focus: The Cook IslandsEvery year the worship service focuses on a different country and a specific theme. World Day of Prayer National/Regional Committees of that country prepare the order of worship on these themes to be used on the next World Day of Prayer. On the first Friday of March in services all over the world that country becomes the focus of prayer and understanding. Through preparation and participation in the worship service, women worldwide learn how their sisters of other countries, languages and cultures understand the biblical passages in their context. They learn of the concerns and needs of those women and to empathize and feel in solidarity with them.

Find resources, prayer service slides, and information about the Cook Islands at the World Day of Prayer Australia Website.
