The Australian Catholic Bishops Conference have called on people of faith to join them in praying for peace in Holy Land. A statement from the bishops, gathered in Sydney last week, urged the Catholic community to express “grief and anguish over the suffering of people in the Holy Land”. We invite you to pray for our brothers and sisters in the Holy Land and hold them and their suffering in our hearts. Let us also pray for a lasting peace and the triumph of human dignity. In this critical moment, we also encourage acts of charity and generosity to provide for the urgent material needs of those who are isolated and facing immense hardship.
