Join Bishop Vincent Long, Chair of the Bishops Commission for Social Justice, Mission and Service for the launch of the Signs of the Times project.

The Signs of the Times project is a partnership between the Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace of the Archdiocese of Brisbane and the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference Office for Justice, Ecology and Peace. It will share the fruit of our prayerful reflection on the experience of embracing Pope Francis’ invitation to a culture of encounter.

Preview our website which offers a theological framework with five pastoral themes to guide parishes and schools in their engagement with justice, ecology and peace issues. Over time we will further develop the library of resources.

We invite you to join us in sharing your reflection on the experience of acting for justice too, ecology and peace through this project too.

The Archdiocesan Justice & Peace Commission has been a member of the Queensland Conservation Council (QCC) for over 20 years. QCC has arranged an evening with Queensland’s Minister for the Environment and the Great Barrier Reef, Ms. Meaghan Scanlon, next Tuesday 24 November at 6:30 PM on-line. This will be an opportunity for us to show that many Queenslanders, including Catholics,  care about protecting the places and the animals and plants we love. It will also be a chance for us to show her that there are many who are passionate about taking the action that is needed to address the climate emergency we face.

Please join me next Tuesday evening. You will need to register for the event so you can get the link for the meeting:
